The Putt Away Cancer Foundation (Putt Away Cancer) is an organization that believes in raising community awareness about the many needs of cancer patients. Cancer is a terrible disease that will wreak havoc on the patient’s mental, physical, and emotional being. With its invasive nature, it also attacks financial resources. After witnessing the battle endured by Leilani Davis, Putt Away Cancer was formed with a mission to make a difference for the cancer community. Our mission is to inspire hope through giving our time, prayers, and resources. Persons diagnosed with cancer can receive help for medical bills via their insurance, assistance for utility bills, and many are eligible for food stamps. However, they are unable to get assistance to care for their personal needs because funding had not been allocated for those needs. Therefore The Putt Away Cancer Foundation has decided to fill the gap by spreading hope through a monetary donation to show we care. By granting “Circle of Hope” awards to cancer patients, we will help the cancer community retaliate against the financial war this disease commands. We will put the FUN back into FUNdraising, through several exciting events. Cancer does not have a respect of person, age, gender, or geographical location…so why should we?
