The art of stepping is a longstanding custom amongst African American Greek letter organizations to compete, yet, unite for a greater cause. The unique history and entertaining concept has been coveted by thousands of spectators to be impressed by creative dance traditions amongst rival nonprofit Greek letter organizations. Its popularity has spilled over into the high school ranks and has been featured in several music videos and movies.
The Dream Big Scholarship Fund in conjunction with the St. Phillips College announces the 2019 Alamo City Stomp Fest . This show will display some of the finest performance steps from various fraternities, sororities and organizations from around the U.S competing for a total $5000 in cash prize to the winning teams.
Alamo City Stomp Fest is the Dream Big Scholarship Fund signature fundraiser. The money raised will be used to provide academic scholarships for high school students matriculating into college and those currently in college.
The step show will take place Saturday, February 9th, 2019 in the Watson Theater on
the campus of St. Phillips College in San Antonio, TX starting promptly at 7:00 pm.
Teams must complete the entry form and submit an audition video of a previous step
show performance no longer than 10 minutes. Video submission can be emailed to
firstname.lastname@example.org via link or video file by Nov 15th, 2018. The step show
committee will review the video and contact your team by Dec. 1 st to complete the
registration form and submit the fee if your team is selected.
